Thank you for visiting our website.  My name is Davina and my younger brother Luke and I are joint owners of The Enoch Clock. 

We’re believers in the doctrine of Christ and love to study scripture.  A few years ago, my studies centred on the Pseudepigrapha and I spent hours reading the description of the 364-day year in R.H. Charles’ translation of the Book of 1 Enoch.  At the time, I tried to work out how a clock might work and dismantled one of our wall clocks trying to build it with the face drawn on paper.   But I couldn’t get it right and gave up.

Years later, I was sitting at my kitchen table with a church member called Sister Lillian, who was studying the same text.  She asked me a question about it and when I answered, the clock began to build itself in my head!  I ran about the house searching for a protractor, pen and paper to draw it out.  That evening, I showed the design to my brother and told him that I planned to apply to patent and manufacture it.  He immediately offered to front half the funds and we started the company the very next day. 

It’s about heavenly time

There isn’t a simple clock face that displays the description in this important literature and we feel it’s about heavenly time there was one.  We started The Enoch Clock Ltd because we wholeheartedly believe in the description of time as laid out in the Book of 1 Enoch and want to make our proprietary design available to anyone else that wants one.

That’s why we have put our own money together to stand up a long-term business that provides The Enoch Clock in various designs and at all price points to believers, non-believers and specialty clock enthusiasts all over the world.

Along the way, we had a lawyer who said The Enoch Clock wasn’t new, so I wrote the patent application myself and submitted it.  When I showed the lawyer, he said it was the best patent application written by an inventor that he’d ever seen.  He kindly continues to register our proprietary designs.  We’ve partnered with a talented Horologist and established a great relationship with our manufacturer of the Aluminium face.  We’re working hard to build a committed team; a reliable and sustainable supply chain; and find a factory that will churn out new designs made from all kinds of different materials.

It feels like a gift from the Most High God to be able to make our working day about something that honours Him. We want to share the beauty of heavenly time with you and welcome you along with us on the journey.
